The objective of this achievement is quite simple: Complete the game without using the X-Buster after defeating the first Maverick. It seems difficult but it's not, just be careful not to use the X-Buster unintentionally, especially if you're in the last stages, you won't want to reset the entire game because of a simple mistake.
This is my favorite game from the X series but I prefer the Japanese version.
