Web Spider's stage from Mega Man X4 for the Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only. Web Spider has two distinct phases, and neither poses much of a threat. His first phase couldn't possibly be any simpler: He drops down from the foliage at random locations and fires off his homing web. If caught, X will lose all movement capabilities and take damage over time. Once his health meter is below half, he will begin his second phase by creating a large web in the center of the screen. Don't worry, this web doesn't do damage, so you may move freely in front of it. During this phase, he will always stay on-screen and continue shooting homing webs. Web Spider will also unleash several small spiders that crawl across the ground...a minor inconvenience. Note a charged shot must be used to take them out along the floor. Web Spider's weakness is the Twin Slasher. And if you can manage to hit his line just right, during his first phase, you can knock him down doing additional damage. However, he will immediately create a new web.
