152Mega Man Zero 3 is down! It's time for the finale of the Mega Man Zero series on the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection: Mega Man Zero 4. This entry, while concluding the story of the Zero series, unfortunately regressed in a lot in the gameplay category. The Z-Saber and Z-Buster were nerfed, the Rod and Shield Boomerang weapons were removed, Elemental Chips were removed, Cyber Elves were replaced with a singular Satellite Cyber Elf that can have multiple abilities, and armor parts now have to be synthesized using trial and error or recipes given by NPCs. Zero 4's main new mechanic is the Z-Knuckle which allows you to steal weapons from enemies and hang from specific rods. Unfortunately, the Z-Knuckle is far less fun to play with compared to the Recoil Rod from Zero 3. However, if you're going to play this game, it's for the story. The final confrontation with Dr. Weil wraps everything up from both the X and Zero series in a nice neat bow and sets the stage for the Mega Man ZX Series.
While Mega Man Zero 4 is shorter than Zero 2 & Zero 3, it is still too long for a single video. So, the playthrough has been split into 2 videos. This video is conclusion to the playthrough which covers the final 4 Einherjar stages, the confrontation with Craft on Ragnarok, the Teleporter Base and Teleporter Circuit in Neo Arcadia, and then the final showdown with Dr. Weil inside Ragnarok's core. For this playthrough, no parts were synthesized at Cerveau, Croire was kept at or below maximum Elf level, and weather disadvantages were forced during the Einherjar stages. This ensured that I maintained an A rank throughout and that I could collect all of the bosses' EX skills.
