Part 22 of my Megaman X Dive "Side Project" to edit the smaller levels into one big one, with no auto aim, Base X and *mostly* Buster only. Made all the necessary music swaps as well.
This level's sub-boss has the honor of making me break my "buster only" rule, and resort to using a secondary weapon to defeat it (the basic Saber); Due to the way this boss works, you can only expose the weak point if you do massive amounts of damage in really, REALLY quick succession, something that simply can't be achieved with a mega buster alone; another example of level design with use of "current meta" units in mind in hopes of you pulling for one in the online game. However this is the only time I'll be using it to proceed.
The real joy of this mission was Sigma. Man did they make this guy a beast, making him adopt a move from almost every single one of his variants throughout the series. Even worse is that they sped up his movements and attacks, to compensate the use of Auto-aim, so having that off was a nightmare trying to no damage him. What made him even more of a pain though was that they added a guard frame between every move, so trying to find a rhythmic timing to his attack patterns along to try and dodge and attack with was extremely hard to do.
Other than that, this was possibly the best iteration of Sigma I've ever fought. Hope you enjoy!
