"Men in Black: The Series" is an action-packed platformer crafted by Tiertex Design Studios and released by Crave Entertainment for the Game Boy Color (GBC) in 1998. Drawing inspiration from the popular animated television series of the same name, the game immerses players into the thrilling world of secret agents battling extraterrestrial threats.

Players step into the shoes of Agent J, a key operative within the clandestine Men in Black organization. Tasked with safeguarding Earth from extraterrestrial threats, the mission is to thwart alien adversaries plotting to seize control of the planet. Players navigate through six levels set in the heart of Manhattan, including sewers, towering rooftops, airports, and the Men in Black headquarters. Each level concludes with a cartoon-style sequence. The game has three difficulty settings and a password feature.

During gameplay, players encounter 12 distinct species of extraterrestrial enemies. Some aliens lurk beneath the ground, while others take to the skies or disguise themselves as everyday objects like bicycles or road signs. There's also the boss enemies, including the invasion's mastermind—an elusive alien entrenched deep within the bowels of the Men in Black headquarters.

Overall, "Men in Black: The Series" is a short and simplistic game, too simplistic to be interesting. The controls are sluggish, with cumbersome jumping mechanics and combat that suffers from limited directional aiming capabilities. Stages soon becomes repetitive since there's very little variety to the gameplay. The cutscenes are nice though.
