MENTAL OMEGA 3.0 - Allied Mission 1 RED DAWN RISING
335Mental Omega 3.0 is a C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge mod. Allied Campaign 1 Mission Red Dawn Rising. It's the third installment in the Mental Omega franchise mods for Red Alert 2, before Mental Omega 3.3 but Mental Omega 2.0 and Mental Omega 1.2.
Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for C&C Red Alert 2, released in the October 2001. It contains 7 missions for both Soviets and the Allies, it's focused around time travelling back in time to stop Yuri's secret plan of dominating the world by activating secretly constructed Psychic Dominator devices during the war. Missions are way harder than these in vanilla Red Alert 2 campaign but are still much easier than those in Mental Omega 2.0/3.0. There was also planned a campaign for Yuri but it was scrapped due to the time constraints.
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.
It started off as a balance modification created by Speeder and Mevitar and first released in 2005. After a few years, Mental Omega had grown into an unofficial sequel of C&C Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge with new campaigns for the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri. Version 3.3 marks the end of the long road and the final upcoming release of Mental Omega.
1982. Hungering for revenge, the Soviets launch a full-scale invasion against the United States of America. The Allied primary defense network is shut down under mysterious circumstances and the only thing between the Soviets and America is a tiny little ocean. The third Great World War begins, where the strings are pulled by a single man - a remnant of Stalin's psychic legacy.
"After the Soviets’ defeat at our hands during the Second Great War, we have occupied Russia and appointed a puppet premier, Alexander Romanov, in order to preserve stability and gain popularity within the country. Several years ago, with the appointment of Romanov’s new chief advisor, a man known only as Yuri, our relationships with the Russian deteriorated. Shortly afterwards, the public opinion began to change and we were pressured to slowly retract forces from Russia. Our intelligence network in Asia has been compromised as contact with our spies was lost.
Today, our fears have been confirmed: our attempts to control the Russian bear have failed miserably. The Soviets have risen against us and their forces are approaching the United States from all sides. Our Peacekeeper missile network has failed due to causes unknown. The Russians are attempting to cross over the Potomac and strike at the Pentagon in order to cripple our military leadership. We cannot allow this to happen. Marshal your forces, defend the capital, and prepare for war.
