I actually crossed the finish line at 3m24s, but my time counts until I press CONTINUE at the end of the mission finish.
But yes, grabbing the grenade launcher instead of jumping over the gate is several seconds slower, and the additional firepower splash of the grenade didn't make up for it when killing the enemies at the Jeep delivery area.
