Testing out a ancient MapleStory client on Linux Wine/D8VK (over half a hour)
Eric from Ragezone is responsible for this. It's interesting, the client is just 70MB, and he has a JMS 0.20 branch and a KMS 1.23 branch.
It is running on the Ryzen 7 5700U/Tesla P4 computer, albeit on the iGPU rather than the Tesla, and Gamestream has some silly keyframe glitches on Intel HD 500 and Exynos 5420 that I couldn't resolve, but funnily NOT in x264.
Working log :
I added D8VK 1.0 to the client folder and overwritten d3d8.dll in winecfg.
I used LLaMa to convert the bats to structured .sh.
Used Maven to build the project, luckily it worked immediately without any patches. Eric has provided all the required files, nothing to hunt down.
LibreMaple, the reverse engineered client did not work sadly, couldn't convert some WZ to NX, the codebase is old, etc. I think it needs to be fixed. Mostly tried on ARM through in sway. I think Xwayland should work. But I was not given any additional messages after only having most of the .nx files.
