Mercenary Kings is a Kickstarter-funded side-scrolling shoot 'em up/run & gun in the fashion of Metal Slug, developed and published by Tribute Games in 2013 for PC & Playstation 4. Developed by the same team that created the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World game, Mercenary Kings boasts a very clean, fluidly animated pixel art style and a wild & entertaining cast of fun and absurd game & movie trope inspired characters.
