Metacritic Is Delaying User Reviews Because of Last of us 2.
2,144Both ghost of tsushima and last of us 2 have had vastly diferent critic scores vs user scores. we've known the industry has wanted to silence users and do away with user scores, as they have on netflix and elsewhere, for quite some time. Now Metacritic, the 'rotten tomatoes' of video games, requires a 36 hour window between release and when a user can post a review. This seems like censorship and silencing because that first 36 hour window is so important for a review as many people purchase a game like last of us 2 or ghost of tsushima during that window. Its bad enough that metacritic was accused of deleting reviews, but now metacritic blocking user reviews is just a step too far.
