So The Pain boss fight is just that. A pain.

Using the shotgun/grenades to destroy his hornet armour is easy enough. Just landing those headshots is tricky.

Hopping into the water is a good way to dodge his attacks and there’s lots of fish in the water to keep your stamina topped up.
