Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action, was a mind blower when it was released for the 1998 Christmas season; There was no other game like it, and everyone I knew got a copy.
Although it looks terrible by today’s standards, the level of realism in this game was something never before seen at the time. You could see Snake’s breath in the cold air, watch yourself makes tracks in the snow as they slowly got covered up by new snow, or be stealthy to avoid guards by not making loud noise while running through a puddle within an ears distance of them.
The greatest hits copy in the photograph is the only game I still own from my childhood collection.
MGS is a legacy game for the PSone, and is always mentioned in the systems top five lists. I give it 5 out 5 moons. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
