In 1983, the Nintendo Company would release their Family Computer system known as the Famicom in Japan. Two years later, in 1985, the system would be released in the U.S. as the Nintendo Entertainment System and would soon gain worldwide recognition. This little 8-bit third-generation video game system would help revitalize the struggling industry and medium of video games. Boasting a library of over 700 official titles and dozens of unlicensed and unofficial games over its nearly 20-year lifespan, in this series we look to try as many of these games as possible, bring more attention to these title and celebrating the system that inspired and entertained so many over the years.

Metal Mech: Man & Machine is a 1991 action game developed by Sculptured Software and published by Jaleco. We play the role of Tony Martin, pilot of the awesome armored vehicle Metal Mech. Commandeered from hostile alien invaders, now man and machine work together to save the earth.
