Mobile Suit Z-Gundam: Hot Scramble – WedNESday – GreenGimmick Gaming
In 1983, the Nintendo Company would release their Family Computer system known as the Famicom in Japan. Two years later, in 1985, the system would be released in the U.S. as the Nintendo Entertainment System and would soon gain worldwide recognition. This little 8-bit third-generation video game system would help revitalize the struggling industry and medium of video games. Boasting a library of over 700 official titles and dozens of unlicensed and unofficial games over its nearly 20-year lifespan, in this series we look to try as many of these games as possible, bring more attention to these title and celebrating the system that inspired and entertained so many over the years.
Mobile Suit Z-Gundam: Hot Scramble, also called Kidou Senshi Z-Gundam: Hot Scramble in Japan, is a 1986 action game that is both a first-person shooter and a side scrolling platformer. Released only in Japan, Hot Scramble was developed by Game Studio and published by Bandai. Piloting the Zeta Gundam we charge through alternating First-person shooter levels and side-scrolling platforming levels fighting off other mobile suits and attempting to destroy enemy bases.
