Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you are all well and with good health 😃.

My name is Velpa, and I am dedicated to completing retro videogames (from the first to the fourth generation) in No Damage conditions and without savestates, and this time I bring you Metal Slug 3 for the Arcade, a game that we will break to its very essence in order to complete it without receiving a single hit. Are you ready?

🎮🎮🎮 WHAT DOES "WITHOUT SAVESTATES" MEAN? 🎮🎮🎮

It means that in case I receive a hit anywhere in the game, I do not return to the beginning of the level or the section in which I am, but to the beginning of the game. This condition greatly increases the difficulty of the game, but also adds a touch of magic and adrenaline to it that makes the experience very enjoyable.

🎮🎮🎮 MY PERSONAL RULES ON THIS RUN 🎮🎮🎮

-Level-8 (maximum difficulty)
-Using slugs as little as possible

🎮🎮🎮 MY STYLE WHEN DOING NO DAMAGE RUNS 🎮🎮🎮

Personally, I love a No Damage Run that is full of style and aggressiveness. With style, I mean things like joking with enemies/bosses (maybe something like trying different combos that might do less damage and make the fight longer, and maybe involves a higher risk, but is funny and entertaining to watch), and with aggressiveness, I mean things like getting myself into positions where it's very easy for me to take damage (maybe something like fighting in the middle of the room instead of cornering myself and making use of the fact that enemies can't attack past a certain point, what is more technically known as the player being out of bounds for the enemy range of attack). I only play safe mostly when it's absolutely necessary (to avoid bad RNG/randomness near the end of a run, for example). So if you love these qualities as much as I do, then it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll have a lot of fun watching this run and the other ones that I have uploaded to my channel! 😊 .

🎮🎮🎮 PERSONAL COMMENTS ON THIS RUN 🎮🎮🎮

I'll be honest here: due to mame-rerecording not working for me (I get a lot of errors, and I haven't found any way to solve them), and that 'default' mame (you know, not rerecording or anything, just mame) doesn't have a rerecord number, I have literally no way to prove that this run has been played without savestates. And, why not use Wolfmame? Well, for one, I don't like it, but on top of that, Wolfmame has the pause disabled, and I really need to pause sometimes (I am human and have a human life, so unplanned things can and do happen). However, as I have mentioned in other videos, I don't do these challenges for people to believe me. So if you don't want to believe me, that's okay! I still want to tell you however that I've been human since beginning to end of this challenge, and I lost many times due to different reasons, some because of human mistakes, others because of bad RNG (randomness simply put), and this run is the result of a combination of both good RNG and my own skills with the game :) .
