I used practice mode for this one and savestates for practice only (no savestates were used during this video). I may end up doing a full No Damage Run of the game in the future, given that this was the level that worried me the most, but I found a way to complete it No Damage (and without using the pause trick, which I personally feel like cheating).

Like in most of my videos, constant practice was super important. This is NOT an easy level and picking up the items is super, super hard. So if you are trying to do the same and you get discouraged because you can't pick up the items, that's ok, it's super hard to do. The timing is very tight.

Also, it's not a perfect attempt, but that's actually encouraging for a full No Damage Run. I missed one branch, where I went right instead of left, but since it happened only one time, it went alright.

Also, of course you still need some degree of luck to beat this level without taking any damage. Near the end, when you get the surf table, you go so fast that as far as I can tell it's humanly impossible to see the green guy and then decide on which side to go. Rather, what I do is just stick to the right side and hope that's the correct one. This costed me attempts, but it's the best I could find and it still works, RNG is not THAT terrible. I mean, of course it depends on what you define as terrible. I'd count the very first branch just after you pick up the surf table as one of the random ones, as the same situation applies (you can't/I couldn't find a way to react on time and also have enough time to go from one side to the other, the surf table is just too fast, I think even if you had a super fast reaction time, it's still physically impossible due to the surf table's speed). So, if we are counting that one too, we have 4 random branches, each with a 50% chance of success. So, we have (1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) = (1/2)^4 = 1/16, or in other words, a 1 out of 16 chance of completing that portion No Damage, that is, it could take around 16 attempts to complete it without taking any damage. Hey, if this is the first level of the game to complete No Damage, it's not that bad. Although, I still need to check if it is possible to have this level as the first in the Genesis version of the game. I know it is in the SNES version, but I prefer the Genesis one, so... yeah, I'll check.
