Metal Unit is a side-scrolling action RPG with roguelite elements. Oddly involved and overly dramatic story aside, the gameplay (which is mostly classic 2D combat focused around cobbled-together weapon loadouts) is simple and weirdly satisfying. And although the runs through the different areas aren't all that challenging, discovering the secrets each area holds and learning the patterns of the enemy inhabitants is enjoyable. Recommended as something easy to pick up and play to just cool off.
