35This is a better strategy, just use the synthesis spear attack, it does very good damage and applies defense debuff on the boss. I figured out also that he cancels his super attack if you hit at least one weakness between turns, it can be spear or ice (his super attack doesn't have anything to do with rows, so put characters in whichever row you want, I put Hulkenburg out in front for extra damage and the healer protagonist is in the back). I inherited ice on everyone for an easy time (level up mage on everyone), but if you don't just keep Hulkenburg alive. If everyone is down and you're in an emergency and need to hit his weakness to cancel his super attack, Hulkenburg's spear normal attack will hit his weakness to cancel it but doesn't do any good damage of course. I used a Seeker protagonist and he can just cast Tarukaja for extra damage. Remember never use mage or healer archetypes, inherit the skills you want from those archetypes instead or else the boss will use a harder moveset than what is shown (I inherited Medei onto Seeker protagonist for AoE healing). Also once he gets into the pattern he becomes really easy, you can beat him with much lower levels and no ice is even needed. It's much better, just have a few resurrection and healing potions if you get unlucky. In this fight I did get lucky, Hulkenburg kept dodging, but if you get hit just use items, eventually he will charge up and you get many free turns from that.
