I'm not gonna lie though I wished the real world had this kind of omnipotent power that held authority and mandate over elections, Politicians would still decieve and skulk in the shadows yes but at least it'd be a more fair system where not only are votes tallied completely based on the people's real votes in their hearts since it ensures no rigging or fixing is possible, only by the merit of your campaign being good enough to sway people completely to your side
Also knowing now about how much Hythlodaeus had lost hope, it really gives perspective to this being his last gambit, a desperate way of giving change to Euchronia cause he lost faith and gave up enacting change in life so he sought at least to make his death mean something
