Metra SD70MACH at Prairie Crossing 1/15/24
286Here's a bonus video from my Iowa Bash. While I staying at a hotel in Chicago to catch my train home, Amtrak canceled on me (for the 3rd time) due to winter weather. So, instead of wasting more money at a hotel, later that afternoon I met up with a friend and we went out to get me my first Metra SD70MACH catch before heading back to their house. Thankfully I was finally able to get home the following day on the 16th. These are definitely the last locomotives I expected to see in commuter service, but I think they're alright. Sounds like they're working out pretty good for Metra, so that's a good sign.
