This mod is made with unofficial fan-made level editor.

Installation:

The mod requires ORIGINAL Metro 2033, released in 2010.

Extract "LICENSE" folder to where the game is installed, delete files content.upk2 и content.upk3.

Launch the game, click on the "Metro 2033 Mods" screen in the main menu, then click "Начать игру".

Level 1: Prospekt Mira

A modified location from original game. March 2035. Few weeks after Artyom and Sparta team escaped Moscow.

"Two weeks since previous exit to surface... I'd rather stay underground for two weeks more... Tired of looking for work, would be nice to do something big: dig out a bunker or storage. Alright, enough flying in the clouds, even more: no clouds here. But I might see them soon: Mikhalich asked to talk to one of the shuttler traders. Am I getting a new job? Really?"

Mod does a good job in making you feel like playing an official DLC: every level has a voiced intro screen.

The shuttler trader tells that he needs to bring goods to Koltso, and border control demands fee despite him being a Ganza citizen: They require money to repair some meteorogical station in Butovo. And they take money from shuttler traders only!

That's why you'll have to go through old bunker, then through the surface in order to bypass border control and reach Novoslobodskaya station.

This is a very short level where your goal is to buy supplies of your choice in preparation for the journey. It is important to buy gas mask filters so you can spend time on the surface. I couldn't complete third level at first try because I didn't have enough and kept dying without them.

This level could use more side quests. For now there are only three activities: explore for hidden ammo pickups, reading a note at 08:35 and side quest at 17:52.

The note mechanic is pretty crude. When you use it, it places the camera in front of note and keeps it there for some time. No "exit" button. If you finished reading, have to wait. If you didn't have to use the note again. Also it isn't readable with "advanced DOF" option, so you have to turn it off (understanding that is basically an unintended puzzle). It takes some time getting used to, and probably isn't done well due to lack of official modding tools and limitations of fan-made ones.

In the note someone named Sedoy writes to his friend Seriy, telling that a local Stalker camp around Novoslobodskaya has a code-locked box with a good weapon and anoter letter. Code is 1966. Looks like it's somewhere at level 3. Note also mentions disappearance of Miller and his guys (events of Metro: Exodus) and some folder with documents that caused noise when Seriy found it somewhere and brought to the Order commander in Polis: people wanted to find Seriy and make him show where he picked the folder up.

17:52 - side quest. A man gives a "business offer". He offers his gas mask in exchange for "one good thing" he lost. "You totally wouldn't believe your ears, I promise", but it's a door from a car. Door from one of those cars you can find on the surface.

Now, you might think: something as big as the door from a car wouldn't be that hard to find on this small location? However, I spent next hour looking for it and then dropped this quest, convinced that it's broken: it looked like the door didn't appear on the level for some reason, which is a shame, because the exchange "door for gas mask" looks pretty ridiculous, - an essential survival item for piece of scrap metal? - and there's probably some nice comical scene that happens when you bring the door.

Maybe black rectangle at 35:07 is the place where the door should be but it didn't appear due to a bug?

If the door is actually present on the level, more clues should be added to narrow down the search: the quest giver telling you where exactly he was and what he was doing when he noticed that door is missing, an overheard conversation where someone found the door and, maybe, wants to weld it to wall to close a hole and mentions where it's placed for the time being.

That feeling when you found many secrets, but not a single way to advance the quest...
