If you want the DJ Artyom achievement, you will need to have audio tape from the dying commander from the level, "Defence". If not, you are screwed.

You will also need to work quickly on this level, especially if you don't have a lot of air filters. Loot the corpse in the tunnel and wear your mask. Head up the slope and turn right.

You should see a tool shack you can hide in. Do that if you have the Sneaking Suit.

If you have the Armored Suit, IGN recommends you hide past the shed, and out in the open; you're going to start the ambush early if you cannot stay hidden. Otherwise, you can light a pipe bomb once the Nazi patrol marches past and you can nuke most of them with an explosion.

If you neutralized the guys on the ground, you should only have a few sentries on the upper levels to deal with. Down them before you start searching for the comms array to complete the achievement (you can also use the route as a shortcut through the level). Don't miss the filters from the shack at the top of the stairs as well.

Once you've sent the message, you may want to get off the roof. Depending on where you incur the checkpoint. Ignoring the ladder and going in the old fashioned way -- from the bottom of the building and wading through tons of Nazi enemies -- seems to create a checkpoint when you reach the roof.

If you head into the building (and kill everyone), you will have a fairly secure base of operations for the Inquisitor achievement; if you don't care for that, you can simply clear the buidling, loot the rooms (watch for the three tripwires on the upper level near the building's exit) and progress deeper into the outpost.

Locate the arrow pointing you to the exit. Artyom needs to clamber over the rubble, fight some Nazis, and climb back into the building to reach the ground level. You can drop to the floor you need by locating the orange hole past the rubble ramp.

Note, IGN is skipping over the sheer loads of ammo and weapons you can find if you poke around the rooms of the outpost. Just remember this if you go exploring: every minute you spend exploring will be more filters being used up.

Battle through the hallway of the building (the VSV should let you drop a few enemies before they notice you). Be sure to check out the building's barricade area for more air filters and some ammo. If you've fought through the building, you are almost at the end of the level.

When you proceed outside the outpost, you should see a Nazi patrol being heckled by some demons (bitches); your goal is to reach the station stairs next to the shiny rig/light in the distance. It's recommended that you zip forward and stay to the left.

If you can stay low, do so. Ignore the enemies and only fire when they get in the way (or not, and save ammo). When you get to the stairs, you are practically at the exit. You can even take off your mask, suck in some acidic atmosphere, and sprint to the end so you can start the next level off properly (by not having a mask on).
