Metro: Last Light vs Metro: Last Light Redux - Intro Comparison
A comparison of intro between the original Metro: Last Light and Metro: Last Light Redux.
Game is running at 1920x1080, with all settings Very High, including Motion Blur set to Normal, 16xAF, Tessellation On (Very High for the original Last Light), VSync Off, but SSAA is set to Off for performance. Even with SSAA set to Off, Metro: Last Light (Redux) continues to use 4A Engine's proprietary AAA combined with FXAA.
Note that the camera pan is randomized slightly between launches, preventing me to capture a perfectly aligned 1:1 comparison.
The graphical difference between the two games is normally difficult to see, but the M logo at the door looks more vivid in the Redux version.
Framerate is drastically lower in the Redux version.
Music is turned off during recording of both videos.
