Metroid 1 (mOTHER+99 Hack): Part 7: The Mother Brain Climax in Tourian & Ending
12Man, I ALMOST got everything at this point. ALMOST. I think I missed just one Missile Expansion to give Samus a max total of 255 Missiles to hold.

With both Kraid and Ridley defeated at this point, it was not time to move on to their leader, Mother Brain, in the Zebes region of Tourian. Go back up to the room where their statues should be, and they will now flash. Hit them to create a bridge that will lead you to Tourian's elevator.
This area is the most linear one in the whole game. No branching paths or secrets. Just keep pushing forward. Here, you will finally encounter METROIDS!
Don't let them touch you! They will latch onto Samus and drain all of her energy away until she dies! If they are sucking the life out of her, use her Morph Ball Bombs to stun them and escape from their grasps.
To kill a Metroid, you have to freeze them with the Ice Beam (or additionally with this hack, the Ice Wave Beam), then while they're frozen, unload 5 Missiles into them before they thaw out.
This is the only way they can be killed. Nothing else works, so (usually) you better hope you came in here with the Bombs, Missiles, and Ice Beam, or you're utterly screwed.
To make up for the work you have to put in just to kill one of them, Metroid spawn the biggest energy and Missile pickups in the game.
There are also those deadly rings called Rinkas. They float in from everywhere, they're very annoying, and none of them spawn any pickups. 30 each!

Eventually, Samus encounters Mother Brain in her own lair. You must first make for one slog of a march towards her buy shooting out her Zebetite tubes that fuel her by using more Missiles. You have to make sure they're completely down, or else they'll regenerate.
Once you've reached Mother Brain, herself, use another Missile to break open her glass, and then shoot as many Missiles into her as you can! This is a bit easier said than done, though, because of more of those damn Rinkas that can knock you into the acid near MB and waste your time and health.

Once you've finally destroyed Mother Brain, her destruction causes a chain reaction that sets off a time bomb that will destroy all of Tourian. If Samus doesn't escape in time, she will die along with the whole area.
All you have to do is make the long climb up to an elevator, and then you're done. Remember that you have more control of your air movement if you have Samus do a normal jump (by first standing in place), instead of a Spin Jump (by jumping while running).
Samus has defeated Mother Brain and her hordes, including the Metroids! Planet Zebes was back at peace.
And because I beat the game quick enough, Samus... strips!
For this hack, she shows off her causal two-piece outfit that you'd see her wear in other newer games. She even send a cute handwave at you.
