Metroid Dread: Kraid Boss Fight
1Kraid is back for the first time in over 15 years and he's actually pretty formidable being a 2 phase boss like before but now doing a fair amount of damage.
In phase 1 he always starts off by roaring a lot so unload missiles into him to lower his health a lot.
When he starts spitting out rocks and fire the rocks are random while the fire goes to your current location so keep moving.
In phase 2 he shoots crap out of his belly button and makes you wonder how close this game was to an M rating. It's actually pretty tough to dodge the poison rocks because the ricochet and can have multiple of them on screen so I just say use your charge shot to destroy them and if the blood glows light purple get ready to jump over poison splashes.
He'll then shoot out his claw platforms which aren't too bad but they do about 60 damage which is insane for early game.
after you magnet grab the wall just open up Kraids mouth and unload missiles however watch his arms. He has a swipe which you can parry to do a lot of damage but he also has his boomerang claws and sometimes he gets fed up and will just try to punch you for pretty much a full energy tank so keep the greed in check.
Overall Kraid is actually kind of hard in this game and I'm all for that. His new theme is pretty cool and for winning you get the diffusion beam aka the only original good thing to come out of Other M (ok Vorash was also alright)
