Metroid Fusion Randomizer (GBA) | First recorded seed
Open up full access to the BSL Station (not including Security Hatches 1-4), as well as shuffle the upgrades around, and you get a basic understanding of how Metroid Fusion Randomizer works. The main goal is to find the following things to take on the final two bosses: Charge Beam; Plasma Beam; Gravity Suit; and unlock the red Security Hatch (Lvl 4). The rest is up to the player's skill to make their way around, and to defeat anything that stands in their way.
Man, what a trolly little seed. One of the problems of playing this without a tracker, I suppose. If the progression items can be spread out like that, in "Difficulty 0", then I'm worried what it will be like on higher difficulties. I'll more than likely try a few more seeds before upping the difficulty. The more I try this randomizer out, the more likely I'll be able to not get frustrated in the future, as I try to find my way to the next Progression Item.
This is the first time that I've bothered to actually be keeping track of time, using my phone, due to not being able to find a timer to capture on my MacBook Pro. Since I started the run at around 1 minute 30 seconds into the recording, the final time is approximately 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 40 seconds. This includes the time lost during the restroom break, which I decided to go ahead and keep in.
