After defeating Arachnus-X, I recovered my Morph Ball ability. After doing so, my ship's computer told me that the X Parasites had invaded Sector 1 (SRX) which is a replica of planet SR388's enviroment and they are altering it to their needs in order to reproduce. It is revealed that the Metroids were the main predators of the X Parasites in order to keep them at bay. The extinction of the Metroids unknowingly allowed to the X Parasite to quickly resurface and cause chaos on SR388.

After leaving the Main Deck, an exact copy of a fully powered Samus barges out of a wall and gives us a frightening stare. What is this unknown agent...?
