Metroid has a very interesting passcode system. NARPAS SWORD is one of the most well-known passwords. By entering this code and starting a new game, Samus begins with all items, as well as unlimited health and missiles! This makes for a fun, shorter speedrun of Metroid. Here's my first PB for the category. I'll probably go back to improve at some point. Sub 5 minutes is doable with tighter routing and execution. Played on a real NES with an original silver label cartridge.
