Metroid Prime 3: Corruption HD {Part 3/4} 100% Completion (No Commentary)
Sorry for the long wait, but I'm back! Samus's corruption journey has led her to the Space Pirate Homeworld, the most difficult area in the game. This area also features the most difficult Hunter battle in the game: Gandrayda. It also features a segment where Samus must defend Galactic Federation bomb troopers or else it's a mission failure. There was a lot that could go wrong, but despite the resistance, I managed to scrape by within an inch of my life at two key moments during this playthrough!

In my opinion, 1:26:18 is the hardest part in the whole game. This is the part that made me lose my entire progress as I had died while being overwhelmed by the never-ending enemies. However, I came up with a relatively effective strategy. I start at the bottom and work my way up to the top so that way I can quickly get to the bomb slot and stop the Commando Pirates from spawning in. Even as demonstrated, I *still* barely survived with this strategy.
Taken all of this together, what I should have done differently for the Pirate Homeworld is I should have collected all Energy Tanks first before attempting to clear through it. Then I would have had much better odds. I'm still very happy with how this run turned out so far. Surprisingly, Omega Ridley came dangerously close to putting an end to this run, so it's a good thing I saved the game when I did.
Another reason to save before fighting Omega Ridley is the fact that one of his moves (the charge forward move where he tries to drill into you), can sometimes glitch and cause Ridley to be stuck resulting in the player needing to reset the game. I'm not sure if this glitch has been fixed on the Primehack version of this game, which is also the Trilogy version, but I didn't want to take that risk.
One last thing I needed to mention.. the fight with Gandrayda is very difficult because I was at a handicap. In this Primehack version of the game, the "shake off" controls don't work. I've looked online almost everywhere and no one has a viable solution for this. One person said to bind the wii motion controls to the mouse scroll-wheel but I didn't see where it was possible to set that configuration up. I kept my distance from Gandrayda hoping she would not grapple me too often, since I'm not able to shake her off whatsoever. If you want to see that, help yourself to some fan-service: 0:30:40
The final part to Metroid Prime 3 as well as this entire trilogy will be released this week! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed!
