_Metroid Prime 3: Corruption_ is a 3D Metroidvania that is set six months after the events of the series's previous game, where the bounty hunter Samus Aran becomes infected with Phazon by her doppelgänger Dark Samus, the reincarnation of the organism Metroid Prime. Samus works to destroy the Phazon meteors—"Leviathan Seeds"—that have been observed and are causing corruption on the three planets Bryyo, Elysia, and the Space Pirate Homeworld.
