In this mission, you'll finally encounter Metroids in the game, and they are just like the ones you meet on Zebes/SR388 as opposed to the Tallon/Phazon Metroids. That means conventional damage will do nothing to them, so you will need to have a ''Freeze Shot'' on you at all times if you wish to kill them. Strangely, in hard mode, you get the option of choosing missiles instead of Freeze Shot weapon.

That being said, getting the bonus objective can be tricky since you need to avoid infinitely respawning Metroids as you escape the area. You can either add the Hyper Mode mod and hope you never get damaged while carrying the Metroid Egg, or you can try to master side dodging so you can outspeed the Metroids following you. I'm getting all the mods since you most likely get a high level mod.
