This was my first recorded SS attempt for the PAL GCN Version of Metroid Prime. It is a very terrible run, mostly due to the reason that I was recording this with a DVD recorder, so all my inputs had a huge delay and made the whole thing pretty much unplayable for me, but also because it was really late for me and I almost fell asleep during the run (Not exactly the best pre-conditions to do a run, I know).

I've been practicing to speedrun this game for quite a while now. I first started with the much more friendly 100% category (Which is still hard enough on PAL), but then got more and more interested for the Any% category as well. After a few months of practicing for myself, I decided that it was time to record a full run which I could put up on YT and because the Any% category is shorter than 100%, wanted to focus on this category first. Well I guess the whole thing was easier thought than done, since the only way for me to record a run with decent quality is by using my old DVD recorder. And as I said before, that one has a huge delay and while I didn't have any problems with it for other games, it is a nightmare for Prime, as the 1st person shooter/adventure it is.

My goal for this run is a sub 1:30. I know that I'm quite far away from that, but I guess when I can find a better way to record the footage and also implement the new route (Which I didn't do this time, because of frickin Spiderless Shaft), it's definetly possible for me in the future! I'd also like to do a full SS of the 100% category, once I get better.
