Here it is guys! The long requested Simpsons Game Speedrun for the next gen consoles is finally here!

It took me quite a while until I was ready enough to attempt a full single segmented run of this game. Compared to the PS2/Wii version, the Xbox version is far less glitchy than the old gen ones. Most of the tricks and the strats work completely different or don't exist anymore. The Xbox version also has a few extra stages, which you would not see on PS2. Personally I'd prefer the Xbox 360 version for casual playing, since it has much more content than the other version (Especially because of the huge hub world). In terms of Speedrunning however, the Xbox and PS3 version are the slower ones, because you can't skip the cutscenes and also because the games are so different in general, when compared to each other. A huge disadvatage for runners of the Xbox/PS3 version is the annoying AI. It happens that it is much more stupid and for Marge levels, your mob members can even die, forcing you to recruit them again.

If I had to evaluate this run, I'd say that it went quite well. Of course this run is not perfect and there were a few small mistakes here and there, but given how long the run is, it is understandable. The worst parts in this run were the beginning of Never Quest, where I screwed up the dragon fight and the death in the Matt Groening level (Thanks a lot, stupid AI partner). But like I said, keep in mind how long the run is and if there is a mistake so far into the run, I really don't want to reset it at that point.

I could imagine that this run can easily go down to a sub 2:40, if not even more. Hopefully this run will help other runners, who want to start running this game to get a good first impression.
