Metroid Prime Trilogy is available on the Wii U eShop for a very cheap price of $10. After a week passes, it'll go up to $20. At either price, it's definitely an amazing deal since you're getting three Metroid games for a very low price, especially when you compare to their physical versions selling on eBay selling for $50 and higher. In this video, I go through the three games, just showing the load times, with you being able to see a significant increase in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. You can also see how rusty I am due to not playing the games for a while.

All the Wii Virtual Console does is it skips the Wii Menu and goes straight into the game. You are still technically in Wii Mode, so if you want to, you can copy over your main save file (or grab one from the Internet) through the Wii Menu's save manager (in order to do that, you'd have to have loaded the game at least once).

As mentioned above, since this is being played straight from the hard drive (internal or external), the loading times will be much faster. Unfortunately, since this is a direct port, Nintendo couldn't even find a way to fix the Friend Voucher/Credit issue, since WiiConnect24 is required for that. For anyone who is playing this for the first time, please go to this link to find out how to get a save where all three files have 0% progress, but have the required 15 Green Credits needed to unlock everything:
