Metroid's Justin Bailey password is probably the most famous video game code next to the Mortal Kombat blood code and the Konami code. But nobody's quite sure why there's a code in the game with that name.

There are a few popular theories about the Justin Bailey code, most of them easily debunked. It's commonly thought that the code was made by a Metroid developer named Justin Bailey, but no such person exists. People also thought it was some type of British slang, but no such phrase exists.
