Finally, as I have promised, the first of the four long-plays featuring the main Metroid games. My recorder had some issues (as always), this time related to audio. You can hear just how crusty and wrong the audio sounds, and that's not just because it's a GBA game. I think it has something to do with bitrate, but there is nothing I could do about it. I think I might just as well get new recording software at this rate, because I'll definitely have problems with audio when I'll be recording Super Metroid later down the line. I know that because I've tried recording some gameplay before and there were some major sound issues.

In any case, here's Metroid: Zero Mission. A fine remake of an outdated classic, tailor-made for the GBA, GameBoy Advance. It improves heavily over the original Metroid game that was on the NES and features gameplay improvements both old and new. It also includes some new areas to explore, new items and abilities to obtain and a story about Samus' first mission, her relation to the lost Chozo race and her fierce battle against metroids and the space pirates, who are commanded by Mother Brain.
There isn't much else I can say about this game, because it speaks well for itself. It is on a short side and doesn't take long to beat, but as it stands, it delivers well enough to enjoy.

Game: Metroid - Zero Mission (2004)
