Metroid: Zero Mission Redux {Part 3/3} (No Commentary)
I finally did it! After many retries, practice runs, and extra attention to detail, I have the Chozodia stealth sequence down to a science. I'm no speed-runner, not by any means. But as a completionist, to be able to acquire all of the items, fulfill the optional stealth mission, and beat this game in under 3 hours, I feel a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. It closely resembles the achievement when I was the first person to upload a 100% run of The Sealed Palace before anyone else did. Or when my Super Mario 64 Render96 video hit the 20K view mark. I'm really proud to have made it as far as I have, it really has me convinced that I can do almost anything if I set my mind to it.
I hope you're as excited to see what games I will complete next as much as I am. I don't have a list in front of me of what games I plan on playing, to be honest with you. I sort of just.. go with what feels right for me at the time. I am sure there are over a hundred other games you could list off that would trend much higher on YouTube or garner my channel more attention or clicks, but I value the sport and the authentic gameplay more than I do incessantly trying to fill my superficial need to subvert people's expectations at all times. I've done this most of my life, and after a certain point, you just want to have fun and enjoy the games you're playing or the projects you're working on.
That is the energy I intend to bring to this channel going forward for the remainder of my YouTube career: To have as much fun and enjoyment out of this as possible. And in time? I'll have commentary gameplay to complement my non-commentary gameplay and we can determine which method works better. It's not that I dislike the sound of my own voice or anything, I just have found, in my own experience, that when people are constantly talking over their own game I have a harder time being immersed in the game or the overall experience. If I wanted to laugh I'd watch a comedy show. I'm here to play games.. so that's what I do!

If I had failed on the final boss fight, all of this progress would have been for nothing, as I would need to start over from the beginning at the start of this video again. Fortunately, the amount of hours I spent practicing really seems to have paid off. If I had have chosen 'Hard' difficulty, this would have been way more difficult to pull off because when you collect 100% of the items in Zero Mission, it triples the health of the final boss and doubles his attack damage output on top of that.
I'm very happy to see this game through to its completion, and I look forward to many more games that will be completed just as passionately as this one! I may return to this game sometime and beat it on 'Hard' difficulty, as well!
