In Microcosm, players are immersed in a sci-fi adventure where they pilot a microscopic ship called the Bio-Booster Armor. The game's story revolves around a mission to combat a deadly virus that threatens humanity. Players must navigate through the bloodstream, targeting and destroying virus-infected cells and other hazardous substances.
The game was known for its impressive full-motion video (FMV) sequences and 3D-like graphics, which were quite advanced for its time on the Sega CD platform.
