Included in the four announced studio closures are Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Games, and Roundhouse Games.

It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty franchise, and the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Its first teaser was released on August 7th, 2023 and will be fully revealed on August 17th, 2023 in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 as part of Season Five live event, while the game will be fully released on November 10th, 2023.
