In many countries, it's an offense punishable by death to have a retro channel focused on RPGs and not include a "Might & Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven" video, so here we go...
The party used in this quick video is newly created but has the same character classes as the one which I finished the game with; a Paladin, a Druid, a Sorcerer and a Cleric. As expected, this magic-heavy party was very weak in the beginning of the game, and it took quite a few tedious hours in New Sorpigal and Castle Ironfist to get them levelled up enough times to survive more than a few consecutive enemy encounters (the cave outside the village was probably the single most difficult dungeon in the entire game for me).
Around the time I got to Free Haven for the first time, acquired the Bow skill for everyone and was able to buy lots of new offensive and defensive spells from the spell schools in the game's largest city things got noticeably easier and a lot more fun, and the game experience stayed very enjoyable (with the possible exception of the very challenging and lengthy exploration of Castle Darkmoor) for the 40 more hours or so it took before I finished the game.
