As a lot of you may know, Title Update 5 - which was put into effect a few months back - disabled playback of user-created .CON files, meaning customs that aren't played in Audition Mode were rendered unplayable. Despite this, I was still able to play, which in turn lead to some confusion, so allow me clarify why I'm still able to play these:

About a month before Title Update 5, I used a jump drive to store all of my custom songs, which I left offline after installing Title Updates 1-4 (for Breakneck Speed in Practice). The reason why I did this on a different device instead of my hard drive was because - even though I didn't specifically predict them to disable .CONs - I had a feeling Harmonix would retaliate against the .CON files in some way. I used a different device that was kept offline to ensure that no matter how they react to it, it wouldn't affect me, as my jump drive is still being kept offline after having Updates 1-4 installed.

tl;dr: I'm a paranoid jackass who thought ahead and put my customs on a different device.
