Mighty No. 9 Beta
5This game really carries on the spirit of the Mega Man X series. The game is obviously beta, as you can see on this particular stage where it's impossible to progress further. I'm looking forward to buying this once the game is released officially.
The gameplay is pretty much similar to Mega Man. You shoot stuff, jump around, get power ups, and save the world. The default controls uses the mouse and hopefully they ditch it as it's a very bad and pointless idea. It would be better to leave all the controls to either a controller or the keyboard, just like the PC Mega Man X games. I have to say this game is way too difficult for me, or maybe it's just a senior moment on my part.
I've been wondering on what is Comcept going to gain by making the beta exclusive to backers. Getting the demo out may actually pique the interests of the gamers and may attract new customers. I'm not sure about the opinions of others but making this demo exclusive to backers only is kind of an elitist douchebaggery.
