Mighty No. 9 (Blind) - Part 1 : Present Year Footage (Stream Archive)

Well, I decided to shuffle around the stream archives a little bit... as this game was of more present interest, may as well get the archive up for it here on YouTube as well! I ended up picking up Mighty No. 9 on launch day, and was not a backer of it, so the original price is the most it got from me.
It started off pretty shakey with the graphics settings causing the window to dart all over where it did not belong, and the frame rate in the game being pretty awful for something that looks like it belongs on a PSP... but hey, I was having some form of fun at least!
The game's intro stage engulfs you in riveting not actually being able to play the game for extended periods due to mid-level dialogue to throw exposition at you in an action platformer game... but it eventually calms down and progresses to "just bugging you with dialogue over the gameplay constantly" that Sonic games were known for from like... Sonic Heroes and on.
...In other words, they had voice actors and they wanted to get their money's worth.
That said, it plays well enough, and the intro stage does a good enough job getting you used to the idea of dashing about like a silly person!
No it does not really play much like the classic Mega Man games, but hey, we shall see how it goes, no?
