A few corrections. 1:32 is when he starts the straight punches in round 1. Dont knock him down in round 1. Its not needed. Save a sliver of health for round 2. See details below:

It took me 6-7 hours I estimate JUST to win by decision against Tyson. I had won by decision many years ago but was out of practice.

Now its legitamised and on video, so Ill remember. A decision didnt fit into my boss domination series so I put in the extra time for a TKO. I used states to practice rounds 2 and 3 as well. In total it may have taken over 9 hours to get this result. I got it numerous times in practice but in a full run.

A few tips. I reccomend getting his health bar down to a sliver and leaving it for the second round. I accidentally knocked him down in the first round because he was going more wild than usual.

Normally I leave a sliver of health for round 2. Then I hold block and press punch immediately, while still holding down block and it gets in a stomach punch. These stomach punches can sometimes give stars too. Normally I get him down in 4-7 seconds of the second round by doing the stomach punch immediately in round 2. Though most of the time its easier to get the TKO in round 3 where he does alot of uppercuts.

Surviving past 1:32 of the first round is the main thing. Its easier from there but can take some practice. He wont one hit kill you after round 1. You can still get knocked down twice in round 1 and TKO him in round 2 or 3 if you do well enough. Getting knocked down 3 times in any one round will end the game but you can get knocked down 3 times throughout the 3 rounds. The 4th overall time you get knocked down is game over.

When he blinks multiple times before his 4 punch charge (Piston Honda style charge) you can sometimes get an instant knockdown instead of a star for punching him in the face. There seems to be a specific timing which I do not know. I try to delay a little before hitting him while hes blinking and sometimes that gets an instant knockdown. Keep in mind you can counter each punch of that charge after blocking as well. See the video for that. He only does this attack in the second round it seems. Ive seen him repeat it twice in that round.

You can get stars by hitting his stomach with the method I mentioned in the beginning of the second round with the fast straight punches. Block and strike immediately in the stomach. Though be careful not to lose them. If you block too much youll run out of stamina so keep an eye on that shit.

Another way to get stars is to land late punches after stunning him, after you landed a regular hit. I never do this intentionally but it happens. When it does its good. The only time I ever use star punches is after his slower straight punches. I stun him once and then instead of landing a regular second hit, I use the star there. This seems to be the safest place to use it otherwise he dodges it. With enough practice he will fall.

This was played on a 65 inch LG C7 OLED tv from about 5 feet back. Sometimes looking at the health bar or timer in the first round got me hit, since I needed to have him down to a sliver of health, and have to look up away from tyson to see it.

The input lag feels very low on this tv though. That is why I started playing tyson, to test this tv with input lag. A game like this is very good for testing input lag on tvs. Next I will beat macho man and then tyson to complete the game legitamately. The times I beat tyson was with the cheat code that takes you directly to him.

When practicing keep in mind that most of it comes down to muscle memory. Dont waste energy getting tense or pissed off. You have to plug in the time and practice and after some hours it will start to feel more effortless and natural, without much thought. It just takes some time to get the feel of the fight. The second and third rounds are pretty painless for me now, but for a while they were also very intense and I would react early. Im not consistant with tyson yet and still have issues with that first round. Now that Im playing for a legit game completion (beating macho man and then tyson in a row), my reactions tend to be off on his delayed punches and Im no longer resetting with states when I do badly in the first round. Thats because to beat it legit I have to beat macho man and then tyson back to back. I should get it eventually but I only beat the first round without getting knocked down a few times. Most of the time I get knocked down once or twice from those delayed uppercuts. The more you play the better you react though, without alot of thought. With hard shit like this its best to just put in the time and look at it as something that is going to take a while. All the work you put in builds up. Just try to get in some time each day. Taking long breaks will make it take longer. Save and Load States after you input the Tyson password to save time.
