Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Snapshot! Amethyst Geodes, Copper, Candles, & Cloning Shulkers? 20w45a
7,912Minecraft has published Snapshot 20w45a, our first Java Edition snapshot for the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Update!
This snapshot includes:
- Amethyst Geodes and Crystals - including the new Calcite and Tuff blocks, Budding Amethyst, Amethyst blocks, and Amethyst Clusters;
- Copper which can oxidize to become Weathered Copper or waxed to preserve its state;
- The Telescope (now called the Spyglass!);
- Candles in 16 colours, which can also be placed on cake;
- Bundles which can be used to reduce item clutter in your inventory;
- Tinted Glass, a transparent block which blocks light;
- a way to clone Shulkers;
- a handful of new quality-of-life changes!
This snapshot also added the lightning rod and the ability to fill cauldrons with lava, but I didn't cover those in this video.
