Minecraft: Cooked Chicken Farm In The Nether
4It was annoying and time consuming to tune it right, but it's generally pretty simple. The chickens at the bottom in the pen were just to start off my egg supply and will be killed later so i can have just the automated cooker system instead.
How it works: Several chickens (20+) at the top shaft will lay eggs, which travel down pipes into a dispenser, which is hooked up to a timed redstone repeater circuit. It will fire the eggs which will sometimes hatch a baby chicken.
All i have to do is wait until the majority grows up in the last section then pull a lever to drop them against burning netherrack, in which they will run out and die dropping cooked chicken and feathers.
Its pretty slow and not very efficient, but i was bored and wanted to make an automated farm of some sort.
