This is a digital keypad I've been working on for a while and just recently completed.
There is a 10 button keypad used both to enter the password to open the doors as well as being the input to set a new password.
Features include a 10-digit numeric keypad with no space between the buttons, 16 bits of memory to store the password (4 digits each 4 bits), an address select bus which increments when a keypad button is pressed and an array of 4 XOR gates to compare the button pushed with the value stored in memory.
