Minecraft - How to Install Data Packs! (Minecraft 1.13) (Mac and Windows)
Hi guys! In this video, I show you how to download data packs! Data packs are something that was added in the Java Edition 1.13 Aquatic update. Data packs allow you to add all sorts of things into your Minecraft world such as custom crafting recipes, custom items, etc. I'm planning on making my own data packs in the future. ;)

How to Install Data Packs:
The first thing you need to do is download a data pack.
Here are the ones I used in the video:
https://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/datapack-mob-health-bar-1-0/
https://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/1-13-datapack-craft-everything-work-in-progress-4132935/

(The following method works for Mac. Scroll down a bit for the method that works for Mac and Windows (it's also a bit easier))
Once you've downloaded a data pack from the links above or from one you've found on your own, use Spotlight Search and enter in " ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft "
Or go to your desktop and click "Go" on the top left hand corner of your screen next to "File", "Edit", "Window", etc. Then click "Go to folder..." and spell " ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft ".

Once you've done this find your "saves" folder. Then click the world you want to put the data pack in. Next, drag the data pack (which is most likely a .zip file*) into the "datapacks" folder. If there isn't a "datapacks" folder there, right click and make a new folder and name it "datapacks". Once you've done this go into your minecraft world and type in the command /datapack list to make sure it is there. If you already had your minecraft world open do /reload. You can disable or enable the data pack whenever by typing " /datapack disable (InsertDataPackName) " or " /datapack enable (InsertDataPackName) ".

This next method works for Mac and Windows.
After you've downloaded a data pack, open up minecraft, select the world you want to put the data pack on, and click the "Edit" under "Play Selected World". Then click "Open World Folder". From there, you can drag your data pack (usually a .zip file*) into the "datapacks" folder. After you've done that, click "Save" and open your minecraft world. Type in the command /datapack list to make sure the datapack is there. You can disable or enable the data pack whenever by typing " /datapack disable (InsertDataPackName) " or " /datapack enable (InsertDataPackName) ".

* If the .zip doesn't work try unzipping it.

Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed the video!
