Minecraft - How to make Lava Doors - Demonstration
Part 3 - Lava Door
Just your typical run of the mill door with the exception of trying to walk through it when it isn't open will set you on fire! The two types of lava door shown in the video are one way doors where once through there is no turning back and ones that are activated using on/off switches which allow for safer passage and a return trip. You could make one somewhere in the middle with pressure plates on either side of the door enabling you to come back through and you would keep the aspect of having to time the jump accordingly.
