There have been a lot of forum posts and discussions about light levels and how they affect mushroom spread rates. The general opinion seems to be the lower the light level the faster the spread rate. When I've asked for testing that backs up these statements I've never received a reply; just been pointed to the wiki. Well anyone can edit the wiki and I haven't seen much proof of any real testing there. I wanted to investigate it for myself (finally) and see if there is a correlation between light levels and mushroom spread rates. Let's take a look!
